11. Fantasy Sports

Sports Union Fantasy Sports Rules
  1. General - SWA members are eligible to participate in multiple Fantasy Sports leagues.  SWA members are eligible to participate in multiple same-sport leagues as well as leagues in different sports. SWA member participation is governed by the following:
  2. Research - Like sports gambling, research is key for successful Fantasy Sports Seasons.  SWA members are eligible to spend as much non-prime dependent and warden time on research, and up to 1 hour of prime dependent time prior to the start of the draft.
  3. The draft - From ½ hour before the draft, through the whole draft and 20 minute after, SWA members are to be uninterrupted.  This means no dependent responsibility, unless they are the only person responsible for the dependents.  If at homaft location, with the A/V equipment required.  For in-person drafts away from the household, all costs may be allocated to the household budget.  In-person drafts do not count towards the road trips the SWA member is entitled to each year.
  4. In week team(s) management - The SWA member is entitled to 1 hour of prime time dependent time each week and unlimited non-prime dependent and warden time each week to manage their teams.   In week team management

Trades -  SWA members must be permitted the time required to evaluate trades.  Trades that both involve them, initiated by them, received by them, or required to be approved or commented on by them.  In some fantasty leagues, trades are time sensitive and the SWA member must be allowed the time to address trades.  The SWA members must first use non-prime dependent and warden time to address these trades.  If the SWA member doesn’t have non-prime dependent and warden time, the member may use prime time.
  6. Commissioner duties - Should the SWA member be a fantasy sports league commissioner, the SWA member will fulfill their commissioner duties to the best of their ability.  They will do this within the framework of this CBA including; dependent responsibility, errands and to-do list management,
  7. Keeper leagues - The SWA member must allocate the time to research their keepers and make those decisions prior to their leagues deadline.
  8. Pick’em leagues - Pick’em leagues are not points based leagues, but team victory against the spread leagues.  They can be eliminator pools.  All costs for these leagues are from the SWA members sports budget and on-line, SWA members may voluntarily complete errands and some of their to-do list between their picks.  If the draft is in person and away from the household, the SWA member is to be un-interrupted during that time, less emergencies.  SWA members are eligible to use their household viewing areas as their draft space.  The highest priority is put on the draft time of the year based on it’s importance.
