General - SWA members may exhibit their appreciation or fandom for their favorite teams, athletes, sports and sports personalities. The SWA member must adhere to this CBA, the terms of the below parts of this CBA are outlined. Favorite sport/team/athlete/personalities may effect CBA sections including but not limited to: Dependent Responsibility, Food & Beverage, In-game viewing expectations, and task, errand responsibility.
Declaring Favorite Sport(s) - The SWA member may declare favorite sports. Declaring favorite sports will have implications for season segments weekly planning. The SWA member may elect or negotiate different elements of this CBA, during the weeks when their favorite sport is in it’s playoffs or a major event.
Celebrating a decade or 'genre' - SWA members may endorse, speak of, compare to and/or any other event that takes time around a specific time in history or genre of any sport they are interested in. This applies to all social settings and all other relevant articles and subjects of this CBA. An example would be '1980's hockey' or 'Old tyme hockey'. The SWA member may point out the specifity of gameplay during that era. The SWA reserves the right to name (regional) directors of decade/genre based on member interest.
Declaring favorite team(s) - SWA members may declare or inherit favorite team(s) in sports. Declaring a favorite team is done through the SWA declaration, wearing team apparel, using ‘*’ in the household calendar for favorite team’s games. All favorite team event request will be given top priority at the weekly household meeting.
When to use ‘we’ or ‘us’ - A sports fan may only refer to a team in the inclusive i.e ‘we’ when they have:
been a fan for 7 (straight) years,
raised as a fan by the previous generation,
have been through one competitive cycle,
can name 20% of the roster and
owns multiple merchandise items from the team(s).
Sports team history - SWA members reserve the right to discuss at any time, in any setting important dates in their favorite teams history.
Celebrating championships - SWA members reserve the right to celebrate their favorite teams championships the night it happens, the day of the parade and any other time where events can be booked in the household calendar.
Parade - SWA members reserve the right to attend the parade. Should the parade be during their work hours, they will make arrangements to be available that day. The duration may be the whole day. Dependent responsibility and food and beverage budgets may be suspended for the day.
Replica rings - replica rings and championship apparel may be purchased out of the SWA members sports budget.
Games in different time zones - SWA members reserve the right to watch their favourite team live. Should the event be during late night or early morning, the SWA member will make arrangements to watch, including organizing dependent responsibility, work, errand, tasks and to-do lists completion times for the next day. No next day requests will be unreasonably withheld.
Team competitive cycles - a competitive cycle is defined as a duration in time where the team goes from competitive for their league to re-building. Each individual teams cycle will depend on their historical performance in the league and will be decided on by the SWA member with public and/or sports personality backing.
Rivalries - Sports events are deemed rival match-ups when a match ups teams have a consistent hate for each other over a duration of time deemed acceptable by the sports fans of those teams. Rivalry games may have household implications on attire, food & beverage, in-game viewing expectations, dependent responsibility and any other aspects of this CBA. Rivalries can be between club teams or nations.
Declaring favorite athlete(s) - SWA member reserve the right to declare favorite athletes, in any sport. The joy that teams may give SWA members, is often found because of players on the team. For individual sports, the athletes are all you cheer for. A favorite athlete declaration must have the following criteria;
Fan for at least half a season,
own apparel and/or memorabilia of the athlete,
3rd party validation (such as inner circle) in public.
Having a favorite athlete(s) has effects on all aspects of this CBA, including but not limited to:
dependent responsibility during events,
task and errand request deadlines prior to those events, and
in-game viewing expectations. All expenditures on favorite athletes are subject to the SWA sports budget. All SWA watching requests for favorite athletes are given top priority in the household weekly meeting.
Favorite athlete milestone(s) - SWA members may celebrate favorite athlete milestones throughout the career. Whether that be games played, scoring (goals, assists), victories, points, tournaments won, or jersey retirement celebrations. All are admissible in SWA CBA time and finance calculations. SWA members may elect to watch their athletes during non-time zone games and all reasonable requests for dependent responsibility the next day will be accepted. In time-zone milestone games, matches or races are subject to all other CBA agreements.
Celebrating individual (or team) awards - SWA members reserve the right to celebrate milestones after the fact. The time to do so may be at the time of the milestone or a time decided on at the household meeting.
Dealing with injuries - SWA members reserve the right to speak with their warden or inner circle for 5 uninterrupted, undivided minutes regarding their athletes performance during injury and how it may affect this CBA, including but not limited to: fantasy sports, standings, and season segment (playoff) implications.
Right to defend favorite player - SWA members reserve the right to defend their favorite players in all situations and circumstances. Arguments over 10 minutes long may need an impromptu arbitrator, appointed by a 3rd party.
Signature Celebrations - SWA members and their offspring may use their favorite athlete celebrations during their own minor and adult rec sports. In the event there are more than one player per team wanting to use the celebration in games, the SWA member with the closest birthday to the day the celebration is to be used shall use they specific celebration (celly). If the player has more then one signature celebration, each may be used. All other ties are decided by rock, paper, scissors.
Memorabilia - SWA members may purchase favorite athlete memorabilia out of their annual SWA sports budget. The limit to spending will be only to the limit of spending of the in year SWA sports budget….. that the warden knows about.
Potential Trades & trades - should a favorite athlete be traded, the SWA member has 24 hours to mourn. During this time, the member may not partake in any activity that would result in dependent responsibilities including but not limited to: work, household chores and errands, and child care. The trade will be discussed at the next weekly meeting for further actions, including but not limited to: addition or subtraction of favorite athlete(s), declaration of new favorite player from the same team, and/or placing a moratorium on the favorite team for a set period of time.
Bad calls by Referees - Bad calls - should a favorite athlete be the victim of a bad call by a referee, umpire or any other official, the SWA member has the right to become animated about the call. The review will take place immediately within the peer group at or watching the game. If the bad call is upheld, the SWA member has the right to grieve for 5 minutes. During this time, the member may not partake in any activity that would result in dependent responsibilities including but not limited to: work, household chores and errands, and child care. During the game, if there is a negative impact on the outcome of the game, the SWA member has the right to consider his favorite player status. The bad call will be discussed at the next weekly meeting for further actions, including but not limited to: addition or subtraction of favorite athlete(s), declaration of new favorite player from the same team, and/or placing a moratorium on the favorite athlete for a set period of time.
International Play - When games or matches are between countries, there is a 35% premium on all penalty, points and attire bonuses.
Calling favorite team as champion - SWA member may declare an outright winner of their favorite team. Calling it and having it come true has implications in many areas of this CBA including points system, inner circle, pre-game at adult rec and minor sports. Clout degrades as time passes. For example, calling it pre-preseason is 100% clout, as time goes on, clout decreases for calling your favorite team as champion.
Penalty bonus - Wardens should be penalized for interrupting games of their favorite athletes watched by SWA members by being banned from the game for a set period of time. The increased penalties should be eligible for any time and financial elements of in-game viewing expectations, tasks, errands, to-do list and project completion of this CBA. Increased penalties will be notified by any means the SWA member feels necessary.
Points bonus - SWA members will receive extra points in their household point system when SWA member and wardens get tasks, errands, to-do lists and projects done prior to their counterparts favorite athlete event start time. Should the household warden enjoy her program or event uninterrupted, the SWA members will earn increased points, how many will be determined by negotiation at the weekly household meeting.
Attire bonus - SWA members may increase their normal appreciation attire when their favorite athletes are competing VS a regular event (game or match). This may include a special jersey, headwear, face or body paint and anything in that realm the SWA member desires. All additional attire would come out of the SWA sports budget.
